Post-poned-Mental Health Initiative (RAGMHI)
Feb. 18, 2026
Rotary International has prioritized mental health as a core area of focus, encouraging districts to launch initiatives that reduce stigma, raise awareness, and increase access to care. Driven by RI President Gordon McInally, these programs often partner with the Mental Health Initiatives Rotary Action Group (RAGMHI) to support local, community-based projects that address stress, depression, and burnout.

Key Aspects of Rotary Mental Health Initiatives:
  • Action Groups & Support: The RAGMHI connects clubs with experts to provide resources for mental wellness projects.
  • District Chapters: Districts can establish local chapters to focus on breaking stigma, raising awareness, and enhancing treatment capacity.
  • Project Examples: Projects include mental health first aid training, distributing "988" crisis line information, supporting youth mental health in schools, and providing coping kits for children.
  • Focus Areas: Key goals include reducing the stigma associated with emotional well-being, promoting mental health awareness, and improving access to services.
